About the company:

The National Museum in Poznan is located in western Poland. This is one of the largest museums in the country, which is very popular among citizens and tourists. There is an extensive collection of Polish and foreign paintings, starting from the XVI century.

The main collection of the museum includes seven themed galleries. The museum also has a permanent exhibition of the numismatic collection and a gallery of applied art.

In 1857, the museum was established as the Museum of Polish and Slavic Antiquities. The current museum building was built in 1904.

During World War II, many exhibits of the museum were looted by Nazi troops. In the postwar period, a significant part of the museum collections were returned to the museum.

In 2001, a new wing of the museum was opened, which houses the Gallery of Painting and Sculpture. In front of the museum is a monument to the memory of Polish soldiers who fought in the Soviet-Polish war of 1920.
