Monument to Jozef Pilsudski

Marshal Józef Piłsudski Square, Warsaw, Poland

Description:

The monument to Józef Pilsudski is a beautiful bronze statue depicting one of Poland’s national heroes, Marshal Pilsudski. The monument is located in the center of Warsaw and is considered one of the most prominent sights of the Polish capital.

The Pilsudski monument was erected in 1995 right on the main square of the city, which is also named after this famous marshal. The author of the project was the famous Polish sculptor Tadeusz Lodzian. The sculpture is installed on a high pedestal, around which a flower bed is broken. The marshal himself is depicted in military uniform, he stands in a natural pose, and his face is facing the square.

On the days of national holidays, an honor guard stands near the monument, and flowers are laid at the foot of the monument. But even on ordinary days, the statue of Józef Pilsudski always attracts the attention of tourists - it is a very beautiful and majestic monument.
