Winnie the Pooh and Piglet Street
Kubusia Puchatka, Warszawa, Poland
Description:
Piglet and Winnie the Pooh, characters from the well-known book about their adventures, are so popular in Poland that a street in Warsaw was named after them.
Previously, the street was called Lenin Street, and currently there is no data on what was the reason for its renaming – a sense of humor, a great love for Winnie the Pooh and Piglet or anything else. However, this place is lively and a favorite among tourists - everyone strives to capture themselves against the background of a brick house and a plaque dedicated to the heroes of the book.
The plaque depicts Piglet and Winnie going on an adventure. In Polish, the street is called Kubusia Puchatka, which literally means “Winnie the Pooh”, but now everyone calls the avenue “Winnie the Pooh and Pyatachka Street”.
