Warsaw-Modline International Airport

Description:

Warsaw-Modlin Airport is an international passenger airport that opened in July 2010 on the site of an abandoned military airfield 35 km from the center of Warsaw. The airport was officially registered in February 2010. The length of its runway is 2500 m, and its width is 60 m. Until recently it was in poor condition and lacked proper lighting and modern radio navigation facilities, but this was successfully corrected in March 2011.

The airport infrastructure includes two passenger terminals with a high level of protection, as well as a weather station equipped with new precision equipment. On the territory of the airport there are restaurants, cafes, a large cozy waiting room, a medical center and parking. In 2011, a 5 km railway was built here, which allows you to reach the center of Warsaw in just 30 minutes. In 2015, the airport plans to expand the runway and open another passenger terminal.
