Salt Museum in the mine of the city of Wieliczka
About the company:
Salt mine "Velichka" - one of the most unusual places in which you will have to visit!
The tourist route is divided into 3 parts and leads to a depth of 135 meters. Along the way, you can see 20 salt chambers connected by crossings of several kilometers.
The inspection begins with the trunk of Danilovich, which was originally designed to raise salt from the mine to the surface, but with the use of new technologies, it was no longer necessary. Along the way, you can see the cameras of Nicolaus Copernicus, Casimir the Great, Jan Halushka and up to a dozen other cameras. There are also several chapels here.
The temperature in the mine is 14 degrees all year round, so all tourists are strongly recommended to wear warm clothes. Tourists are always happy to help guides who will conduct a tour in a language convenient for you. All excursions are held in groups of no more than 35 people. The cost of tickets and time of excursions can be found on the website.
