About the company:
In 1972, a zoological park was founded in Abakan. It is located in the former wasteland, near the shops of the Abakan meat plant. The foundation of the zoo was facilitated by the organization of a living corner, the inhabitants of which were only a few wavy parrots, aquarium fish and a polar owl. Soon, the zoo was replenished with lion cub, Scottish ponies and two parrot macaws.
In the late 90s, the number of animals and birds grew rapidly: their number reached more than 85 species. In addition, a terrarium was opened in the zoo. Today, the Abakan Zoo is called the Center of Wildlife and is a Republican State Institution.
Visitors are presented more than 150 species of animals, most of which are listed in the Red Book of international, state and regional significance: tiger, leopard, puma, pelican, eagles, etc. The zoo is inhabited by about 20 species of predatory and ungulates, more than 90 species of small animals and birds, and the number of inhabitants of the terrarium reaches up to 20 species. Animals are in metal cages with concrete flooring
