Museum-Reserve "Kazanovka"

"Kazanovka" - museum - reserve, located within the boundaries of Askiz district, at a distance of about 130 kilometers from the city of Abakan.

Khakass museum-type reserve occupied the south-western part of the republic, near the Abakan ridge. Currently, "Kazanovka" is a republican national museum - reserve, state cultural institution of Khakassia. Nature is amazing here, ethnography is interesting, and archaeological sites are a desire to learn more. These are the three whales on which Kazanovka rests. Thousands of years ago on its territory lived people who prayed to the spirits of the mountains, painted on the rocks scenes of rites and silhouettes of animals, erected mounds.

Every year hundreds of schoolchildren interested in archaeology of people and scientists come to Kazanovka. For guests of the museum-reserve, 6 routes with an archaeological orientation have been developed, the duration of which varies from 1.5 to 6 hours and captures the most interesting points of the territory.
