Description
The weakly salted healing lake is 9.5 km long and 5 km wide. The maximum depth is 24 m The coast of the Shira is treeless and only in the western part there are small birch “islands”. The bottom of the lake rises to gentle shores covered with a layer of sand with comfortable beaches. The healing properties of mineral lake water are used for treatment at the resort of the same name. Also, there are therapeutic procedures with silt mud extracted from the bottom of the lake.
