Description:
Sayano-Shushenskaya hydroelectric power plant is the most powerful power plant in Russia, the sixth largest hydroelectric power plant in the world. Located on the Yenisei River, in the village of Cheremushki (Khakassia), near Sayanogorsk.
Composition of HPP facilities:
- concrete arch-gravitational dam with a height of 245 m, a length of 1,066 m, a width at the base of 110 m, a width of 25 m along the ridge;
- dam building;
- shore spillway.
