Lake Stoktys

Lake Stoktysh is one of the most amazing sights of the Republic of Khakassia. In the picturesque Sayan, near the border with Tyva, there is an extraordinary river Stoktysh, which flows underground. It remains poorly studied to this day, but it is precisely established that in certain places the river appears on the surface of the earth, forming wonderful lakes of small size. One of these lakes, which is located at the base of Mount Mongun-Taiga, is Lake Stoktysh. The length of the lake reaches 270 meters, width - 80 meters, the greatest depth is 5 meters. This is an insanely calm unpopulated place with perfectly transparent, but not warm enough water, the temperature of which ranges from +10 to +15 degrees.
On the shores of Lake Stoktysh there are very few plants and trees, mostly - these are lone fir trees. Public transport will not take you directly to the lake, you can get there in any other way convenient for you.
