Description:
The city of the Dead" - so figuratively called this place by tourists - is located in several tiers on the Raminrag ridge, and leaves the impression of a city on the mountainside.
1st stop (2 hours) for breakfast in the Ossetian village. About 20 minutes. You can try the South Ossetian cakes and local beer. 2nd stop in 2 hours tourists arrive in Dargavs. Archaeologists count here about 95 family crypts – they are like small houses, each of which has a window through which you can look and see the bones and remains. Above the family crypts rises the battle tower of the Alikovs. In Dargave there are very few tourists, there is no infrastructure. Here tourists are about 1.5 h. 4th excursion stop (30 min.) in the Orthodox Church in the city of Alagir. The temple was painted by the hand of Costa Khetagurov. It is possible to put candles, order lunches. On the way back, dinner in the Ossetian village.
