About the company:

In the city of Alapaevsk there are currently two active temples. Holy Trinity Cathedral is one of the oldest churches of the Ekaterinburg diocese. The temple was built in 1702 at the expense of parishioners, residents of the Neivo-Alapayevsky factory, one-chroned in honor of the holy man of God Alexis. Subsequently, in different years, a bell tower and two chapels were added in honor of the Most Holy Trinity and Archistratigus Michael. The large size and three chapels gave the basis to the Holy Synod to assign the church in 1912 the status of a cathedral. The period of persecution against the Church did not bypass this temple, from 1932 to 1992, the church was in vilification in it was located bakery. Since 1992, the Holy Trinity Cathedral has been an episcopal compound. This temple (like the church of St. Catherine, the current compound of the monastery) was visited in 1918 by the Grand Dukes Romanov and St. Elizabeth, while in custody in the Napolnaya school. As members of the Imperial family, they received attention from the priesthood, but visiting the church was the only consolation for the princes only during the first month of their stay in Alapayevsk. On September 28, 1918, units of the 15th Kurgan Siberian Rifle Regiment under the command of Colonel I. S. Smolin entered the city. The Provisional Military Investigative Commission was established in Alapayevsk, ensign M. Lyakhovsky was appointed chairman of the commission. The investigator in the case of the murder of the princes of the House of Romanov was appointed member of the Yekaterinburg District Court Ivan A. Sergeev. Senior policeman T. Malshikov, this natural-born detective, discovered the place of the crime, the coal-stone Lower Selim Mine. From 7 to 11 October, all the bodies of the martyrs were raised to the surface (the body of Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna was raised on 11 October). The medical examination was carried out in the building of the catavernaya (morgue), which was located in the rad with the Catherine Church. The examination established the cause of the martyrdom of the Romanovs. On June 27, 2003, a memorial cross was installed. The remains of the Monk Martyrs Elizabeth, Barbara and the bodies of the Grand Dukes in 1918 were in both churches of the city of Alapayevsk. On October 18, the bodies were transferred to the Catherine Church, where a memorial service was served. “There were so many people that not only was the temple full, but the entire surrounding square of the temple. On the morning of October 19, from the Holy Trinity Cathedral, they came by procession to the cemetery church, where they served a memorial service, and with the singing of “Holy God”, the coffins were carried to the cathedral, where the funeral Liturgy was performed, and after such a funeral for the martyrs of the August Passion-Bearers. There were even more people at the funeral, for people gathered not only from Alapayevsk, but also from the surrounding villages. A lot of people were crying. After the funeral, the singers sang the touching stanzas of St. John Damascene, the people said goodbye to the martyrs, and after farewell, the coffins were taken into their hands and while singing the crowded choir “Holy God”, the funeral bells and spiritual military music “Kol Slaven” were transferred to a stone crypt, on the right side of the altar of the cathedral, where the entrance to the crypt was laid with brick. This could describe the funeral of the Alapayev martyrs, no doubt a person who could directly participate in these events. Hegumen Seraphim (Kuznetsov), who accompanied the bodies of the Alapayev martyrs through Siberia to China and further to the Holy Land Jerusalem, in his memoirs indicated that the funeral service served as a cathedral of the clergy among 13 archpriests and priests. When the White Army retreated to the east, Alapayevsk was left without a fight, but it was decided to take the bodies of the Alapayev martyrs with the retreating units by rail to Siberia. On July 14, 1919, eight coffins were loaded into a freight car, while the story of how it happened was preserved. Especially to the car, standing on the railway tracks on the opposite bank of the Alapaihi River, a rope rope was stretched from the crypt, on which the coffins were transported directly to the car. There are also memories that for some time after the departure of the coffins from Alapayevsk in the Crypt a lamp was burning. The place of temporary burial of the Alapayev martyrs is the Crypt, a stone structure originally intended for the economic needs of the cathedral. In Soviet times it was in desolation for a long time. The crypt was filled with slag, waste stoker Alapayevsky bakery. With the transfer of the temple building of the Church, since 1991, restoration and restoration work began in the cathedral, on August 8, 1999, the Holy Trinity Cathedral was consecrated by Archbishop Vikenty of Yekaterinburg and Verkhotur. The restoration of the shrine has begun, the Crypt. The clearing was carried out before the arrival of Patriarch of All Russia Alexy II, who visited Holy Trinity Cathedral, two years before the celebration of his 300th anniversary by the church.
