The gate church of Fyodor Stratilat was built under Tsar Fyodor Alekseevich, and its consecration took place in 1682, in honor of the patron saint of soldiers - Fyodor Stratilat.
The church is erected over the Holy Western Gate, and is crowned by three cupolas, each over its parts of a symmetrical structure consisting of three four. The gate church is decorated with columns and cornices, as well as arcature framed windows. In sufficiently high gate openings you can see massive oak gates.
The church is part of the churches of St. Uspenskorgo convent in the city of Alexandrov.
