Holy Trinity Stefano-Mahrishchi Monastery

Holy Trinity Stefano-Mahrishchsky convent is located in a picturesque place on the Molokcha River in the village of Makhra, Alexandrovsky district of the Vladimir region. This monastery was founded by St. Stephen, a native of the walls of the Kiev-Pechersky monastery. The walls of the monastery were visited by Ivan IV the Terrible, Moscow hierarchs and Poles of troubled times, Sergius of Radonezh, His Holiness Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II and other famous personalities. The monastery is always open to pilgrims and guests from different regions!
