Buturlin's estate
village Krutets, Alexandrovsky district of Vladimir region.
Description:
The estate of I.I. Buturlin is located in the village of Krutets near the city of Alexandrov. Here preserved a noble house of the XIX century and several outbuildings.
General-Anchef Ivan Ivanovich Buturlin was one of the closest associates of Peter I, fought during the Northern War, led detective affairs. Subsequently, he resigned, and after the death of Peter fell into disgrace for participating in a conspiracy against A.D. Menshikov. His only allotment was the village of Krutets, where he spent the last 18 years of his life.
Under I. I. Buturlin, a church and a manor were built in the village, which, however, has not survived to our time. Today in its place you can see the building of the second half of the XIX century, erected by merchant V.P. Zubov, one of the last owners of these places.
The building on the banks of the Grey River is a characteristic manor building one floor high. The mezzanine and four outbuildings of wooden construction have survived to this day.
In Soviet times, a sanatorium was built here, and today the building is in private hands.
