Bank Worker's Day

Description:

Banks appeared in Russia in 1724

With the dates of this holiday, as with the date of the holiday of another financial specialty "Accountant's Day", there is still no final clarity. The reason for this is that the holiday is not officially established at the state level.

There are two versions of the dates to mark it. The first is November 12 and the second is December 2.

More “fresh”, and therefore closer to the truth, after a journalistic investigation, the editorial office of the site “Calendar of Holidays” sees the date of December 2. This date was established on December 2, 2004 at the initiative of the Association of Russian Banks.

December 2, 1990 was adopted the first in the modern history of the Russian law “On the Central Bank of the Russian Federation”, which marked the beginning of the formation of the modern banking system.

On November 12, the Day of Workers of Sberbank of Russia is celebrated.

Banks as credit institutions appeared in Russia in 1724. Over time, they became a necessary and essential part of the life of the country, and like all labor, the work of the banker earned respect.

Working in a bank is not only profitable, but also prestigious. But behind the exterior gloss and apparent simplicity hides persistent and painstaking work, requiring full dedication, concentration, attention and, of course, highly professional knowledge and skills, coordinated collective work.
