Day of the Airborne Forces (Day of the Airborne Forces)

Description:

"Nobody but us."
In Russia celebrate the Day of the airborne troops. Airborne troops are among the youngest in the Russian Armed Forces.

They have been conducting their combat chronicle since August 2, 1930. On this day, during the exercises of the Moscow Military District near Voronezh, an amphibious unit of 12 people was parachuted for the first time to perform a tactical task. This date is considered the day of the foundation of the airborne troops, and August 2 became Airborne Day.

From the first day of its existence, the Airborne Forces became the troops of the “forward line”, capable of performing any task, however impossible it would not be considered. The airborne troops, whose motto is “Nobody but us”, are deservedly considered the elite of the Russian army.
