Amursk

Amursk is located in the Khabarovsk Territory on the banks of the Amur River. Founded in 1958.

The nature of the climate is continental, winters are cold and long (the average air temperature in January is 25 C) in summer is warm and rainy (the average air temperature in July is + 21 C).

The city is home to 39,471 people (2018).

Mining, timber processing and defense enterprises operate in Amursk. There is a plant that is the only one in the Far East engaged in the manufacture of ammunition for combat and sports weapons.

In Amursk there are children's art and sports schools, which are considered the best in the Khabarovsk Territory.

The City Arboretum deserves attention, in which there are exotic plants, birds and animals live; the Molodost cinema, in which all film premieres go; the Amur Museum of Local Lore; Krokhalev Island, on which lemongrass, barberry, cedar, aspen, Amur grapes grow.
