Chukotka, Kanchalan

We invite you to go on an ethnic journey to the national village of Kanchalan, where the indigenous people of Chukotka – Chukchi live. The whole life of this village is centered around reindeer herding, which is the main occupation of the locals.

We will start our journey from Anadyr, where you can get by plane. Further, on the all-terrain vehicle, which is designed to move through difficult terrain, we will get to the village of Kanchalan. In the village we will get acquainted with the reindeer herding brigade. We will stay in the traditional Chukchi dwelling - yaranga, try local cuisine, including fresh venison cooked in Chukchi.

We will then travel to a herd of 1,000 deer to see these majestic animals in their natural habitat. It will be an unforgettable experience!

First day. Your tour begins with arrival at Yuri Rytkheu Airport. At the airport you will be met and organized a transfer to the city of Anadyr. After accommodation in the hotel, you will have lunch to recuperate after the flight. Then you will have the opportunity to walk around the city, get acquainted with the local sights and culture. It is also planned to visit the museum center "Chukotka Heritage". In the evening you will have dinner and rest at the hotel before the next day of travel.

Day two. After breakfast, we go on a sightseeing tour around the city. We will visit the temple, the monument to St. Nicholas, Mandrikov Square, the bowing cross on Mount Camel and other attractions. After lunch we will get acquainted with the Chukotka-Eskimo ensemble "Ergyron". We'll end the day with dinner and rest.

Day three. Start the day with breakfast, then head to the abandoned Cold War military base, Hudym. We will tour the base and explore the mine. We'll have lunch in the fresh air. We will return to Anadyr, where we will have dinner and rest.

Day four. After an early breakfast we will go on trekol to the village of Kanchalan. We have lunch on arrival. After lunch, we will go to the reindeer herding brigade, where we will be able to get acquainted with the life and life of the indigenous peoples of the North. Accommodation in the yaranga will allow us to fully immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of the traditional Chukchi dwelling. We have dinner and rest in the evening.

Day five. After breakfast we will go to see the herd of deer. After watching the animals, we go to Canchalan. We'll eat on the way. From Kanchalan we return to Anadyr. After accommodation at the hotel, we will have dinner and rest.

Day six. After breakfast we go on a traditional smelt fishing trip. Lunch will take place in the fresh air, enjoying the beauty of nature. In the evening we have dinner, after which we can relax and relax.

Seventh day. After breakfast we will go to the sled dogs kennel. There we are waiting for training and dog sledding. Then there will be an initiation into the curtains. After lunch in the cozy cafe of the hotel we will visit souvenir shops where you can buy unique local goods. We have dinner and rest in the evening.

Eighth day. The day will start with breakfast, then we will go to Anadyr airport for a flight to Moscow.
