Monument to A.S. Korytin

Residents of the resort town of Anapa respect and honor the memory of Andrei Sergeyevich Korytin, who is the head of the aircraft construction department. Thanks to the great work done by Korytin, for several years it was possible to create a jet board capable of landing on water. The works of the chief engineer in the city are known to many residents and even some tourists.

In honor of the designer of the seaplane created a memorial structure located in a picturesque park. Gudovich on the intersecting streets of Tamanskaya and Protapov. The installed monument has the form of a stele with a bas-relief of the great engineer. On top of the stele is a seaplane model Be-12, which was made by employees of the Taganrog plant.

Not many people know that Andrei Korytin was not only an outstanding designer of seaplanes, awarded the USSR State Prize, but also an honorary figure of the resort city.

For a long time, Korytin was the chairman of the historical section in the department of public protection of memorial buildings, important for the history and cultural life of Anapa. The scientist tracked archaeological finds, and also controlled the excavations and construction of the resort.
