Monument to victims of political repression in Anapa
intersection of Revolution Avenue and Tiraspol Street, Anapa, Krasnodar Territory
Description:
The monument was named “Victims of Political Repression in Anapa” in memory of the events of the Stalinist onslaught to people who were not afraid to express their thoughts and fight for their ideals of that time. Every year, on October 30, a rally is held next to the monument, where they remember not hundreds or tens of hundreds, but about 5 thousand people who were tortured to death in mines, concentration camps and prisons defending their views until the last second of their lives.
The structure itself is a slab of granite, divided into 4 parts, entwined with barbed wire with a notch from a shot, reminiscent of the events of that time.
Words are also written in honor of the dead. There is a monument in Anapa, at the intersection of Revolution Avenue and Tiraspol Street.
