Church of Alexander Nevsky
Arkhangelsk, Leningradsky Prospect, 264
Description:
The wooden tent church of Alexander Nevsky on the courtyard of the Artemyev-Verkol monastery was built at the expense of parishioners in 2005. The main architect of the project was A.B. Barbanova, who proposed a version of a fully wooden ensemble with a bell tower.
In the construction of the temple took part parishioners and the clergy themselves. The foundation stone of the new church in honor of the holy Prince Alexander Nevsky was consecrated by Bishop Tikhon of Arkhangelsk and Kholmogorsk.
Today, the church is very popular, despite its remote location.
