Northern Dvina embankment

The right bank of the Northern Dvina from the Severodvinsky Bridge to the Kuznechevsky Bridge

Description:

The promenade is six kilometers long and stretches along the river and allows the tourist to put together the most complete picture of the city. Here, the vast expanse of water and sea vessels is combined with the architecture of old churches and other historic buildings.

The embankment starts from the Severodvinsky Bridge and stretches to the Kuznechevsky Bridge. This is a favorite place for citizens to walk in any weather, because the locals have long been accustomed to the gusty wind from Dvina. Traditionally, folk festivals are held here during the summer City Day and Navy Day. In July, the festival of street theaters has been held here for several years in a row, to which creative teams from neighboring cities come. Performances take place not only on the embankments, but also in parks throughout the city.

The main tourist routes one way or another overlook the embankment, which runs a wide loop through the city center. Walking along it is very convenient to get acquainted with the main attractions and, if necessary, relax in floating restaurants or cafes on the shore.
