Arkhangelsk

The Old Mansion Museum

d. Arkhangelsk, Northern Dvina embankment, 79

About the company:

The museum building was built in 1786 as a typical residential building. For many years it changed hands and served at the bank office, then the customs office, until finally it was transferred to the Museum of Fine Arts. Since then, it has housed museum funds and individual expositions of ancient Russian art. Later, a whole ensemble was created, which included interior items, portrait painting, antique furniture and mirrors. In this environment and atmosphere, painting began to look very different.

The mansion regularly hosts excursions and temporary exhibitions. Concerts of chamber music are arranged here, children's and youth balls are organized, social gatherings, presentations and receptions are held.
