Pinega Museum of Local History

The museum collection of the Pinega Museum has more than 15 thousand museum items and characterizes the key moments of the history of the Pinega region, its ethnography and folklore. The only museum where objects are stored, a book associated with the name of the most famous Pinezh storyteller M.D. Krivopolenova. In the 1990s, the museum’s collection was enriched with objects, photographs and documents on the history of political repression in Pinega. In July 2022, a permanent exposition “The Volodin merchant family” was opened, telling about representatives of the most famous and rich dynasty of merchants of the region. The museum conducts excursions, lectures, organizes master classes.
