In 1911, two Astrakhan entrepreneurs Belugin and Burakov, having bought a plot of land, began the construction of a network knitting factory, and in the summer of 1912 the first five network knitting machines issued their first products.
In the period from 1945 to 1948, technical re-equipment began. At this time, 28 new high-performance machines were installed at the factory, designed to line the business canvas.
In 1960, the world's first workshop for the impregnation of net materials with synthetic latexes was built. The launch of this workshop saved fishermen from the heavy and harmful process of grinding net materials before fishing. The second technical re-equipment of the factory began in 1975-80.
Currently, wallet floats of different buoyancy are produced, as well as a wide range of floats for equipping drift-net and fixed networks. The organization of the production of floats allowed to abandon their imports from abroad.
Consumers of the products of the factory are fishing enterprises of Astrakhan, Rostov regions, Stavropol and Krasnodar territories, Dagestan, Kalmykia, as well as neighboring countries: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine.
For a more complete provision of fishermen, the factory operates a fishing gear construction site that produces ready-made fishing gear, in the design and testing of which specialists and scientists of the Astrakhan State Technical University and the Caspian Research Institute of Fisheries take part.
The products of the factory are used not only in the fishing industry, but also in other branches of the national economy (construction, oil and gas industry, agriculture, etc.).
During the tour you will get acquainted with the expositions of the museum on the territory of the factory, walk through the workshops of the enterprise and get acquainted with the products produced at the enterprise.
