Swan Lake

One of the most noticeable places of rest in Astrakhan is Swan Lake.

This lake was formed naturally, in a place where the riverbed of the Volga previously passed. However, the river later left and the remaining water became a lake. In Astrakhan, Swan Lake is located between Admiralty Street and Lenin Square.

Local authorities decorated the sight with comfortable benches and fresh green lawn. Almost in the middle of the lake there is a romantic arbor for newlyweds, where the newlyweds will be able to take memorable photos.

But the main feature of the lake are real, live swans, absolutely not afraid of people. Previously, many swans lived in the lake, but due to the fact that they were constantly overfed with not the healthiest food, they left this place. In 2017, an unknown virtue brought swans to the lake again, but ordered to monitor their health and in no case to feed bread. Now the birds are absolutely healthy and continue to please the eyes of visitors to the park.
