House-Museum of B.M.Kustodiev

The house-museum of B.M. Kustodiev was opened in 2002 in the former house of the merchant Moiseev, which is a monument of urban architecture of the late XIX - early XX century.

The exposition of the museum introduces the life and work of B.M. Kustodiev - Astrakhan, an artist with a world name. The museum presents paintings, graphics, sculpture, as well as memorial items and documents of the artist and his family. The house-museum maintains contacts with relatives of B.M. Kustodiev, thanks to which the collection is replenished with new exhibits: photos of the painter and his descendants, works of the master himself and his son Kirill, a famous theater artist, memorabilia. Unique photos from the family’s personal archive, donated to the museum by the artist’s granddaughter – the famous Russian art critic Tatiana Kirillovna Kustodieva.
