Historical and Local History Museum pos. Liman

The building in which the museum is currently located is an architectural monument of the XIX century. At different times, the building housed state organizations: library, club, district, House of Pioneers. In 1962, the "Search" club was organized at the House of Pioneers, and in 1967 the Hall of Combat Glory was created at the House of Pioneers.

In 1976, a certificate No. 1817 was issued for a large search work on the award of the title “School Museum”, and in 1994 the district administration issued a decree on the transfer of the museum to the Astrakhan Museum-Reserve.

Museum employees participate in district events together with the library, film center, art school. The museum is known far beyond the Liman district. It is visited by delegations of the nearest districts - Narimanovsky, Ikryaninsky, students of district schools, GPGU, college. In the summer, the museum serves school grounds.

All year round, there are expositions and exhibitions: “Flora and fauna of the region”, “Settlement of the Limansk Territory”, “Modern development of the region”, “Limans in defense of the Motherland”.
