In 1973, a room was allocated in the building of the military enlistment office. According to the decision of the Executive Committee of the Krasnoyarsk District Council of People's Deputies No. 145 of December 12, 1989, the local history museum of Krasny Yar village was organized on a voluntary basis under the department of culture of the district executive committee. By the decree of the Krasnoyarsk district administration No. 458 of April 23, 2009, the district museum was created as a structural subdivision of the municipal institution Intersettlement Cultural and Leisure Center Mir.
