Alley of heroes Balakovo

The Alley of Heroes is the main place of veneration of soldiers of several wars and victims of Chernobyl. There are monuments of valiant soldiers of the Great Patriotic War, heroes who died in Chechnya, Afghans and victims of local military conflicts. For locals it is a holy place, and for guests of the city is also a landmark of the city. This is a rare city where the memory of the heroes was awarded a luxurious alley.

There are two important memorials on the Alley of Heroes. One of them is a monument to the memory of the fallen Balak soldiers in the terrible time of the Great Patriotic War. This obelisk is located at the end of the alley. The newlyweds consider it their duty to visit the monument on the wedding day and pay tribute to all the fallen heroes. The second object is the Eternal Flame, to which citizens and tourists always lay flowers.

The Alley of Heroes is always very well-kept. It is the pride of the city and the most visited tourist street of the city. This very beautiful alley annually becomes the main place of celebration of Victory Day in Balakovo.
