Variety factory in Balakovo

CJSC Severstal – Balakovo Variety Plant, part of the Severstal Russian Steel division, is a 100% subsidiary of Severstal. This is a mini-plant under construction with a production capacity of 1 million tons of rolled products per year. The plant is planned to be commissioned in 2013 on the territory of the Bykovo-Otrog municipality of the Balakovsky district of the Saratov region (show on the map). The volume of investments is about 700 million dollars. CJSC “Severstal – Balakovo Variety Plant” was recognized as the winner of the regional competitions “Investor of the Year 2010” and “Saratov Brand Leader 2011” in the nomination “Investment Project of the Year”.
