Labor Stadium

Saratov region, Balakovo, Soviet street

Description:

The Trud stadium in Balakovo is one of the most famous tracks in Russia, where speedway competitions are held. The stadium, which has become the home ground for the Turbina club, hosts major Russian and international competitions.

The stadium was built in 1965 due to the development of motorsport in the city. Over the 45 years of its existence, the stadium has been rebuilt many times. From 2005 to 2008, a comprehensive reconstruction was carried out, during which the seats in the stands were replaced, soft sides were installed along the sides of the tracks. Today, the main stand can accommodate 2,000 spectators, and taking into account the standing seats, the Russian Speedway Championship gathers up to 12,000 spectators at the Trud stadium. In the long term, additional seats are planned.

In the stadium, in addition to the speedway lanes, there is a football field where local amateur clubs hold matches. But the main purpose of the stadium is, of course, speedway competitions. In Balakovo, one of the most famous motorcycle clubs in the country is located - the Turbina club, for which the world-famous rider Emil Saifutdinov acts. In winter, ice speedway competitions are organized at the stadium.
