House-Museum of V.I. Chapaev in Balakovo

The museum itself is the house where Vasily Ivanovich Chapaev and his family lived. The museum retains the atmosphere of that time. Almost all the exhibits presented here are unique. Chapaev himself used many household items, some of them were made by his father and brothers. Vasily Ivanovich himself was also engaged in carpentry and among the exhibits there are his works.

Among other things, visitors can see the personal belongings of Maria Popova (the prototype of Anki-machine gunner) which she bequeathed to our museum.
