Monument to Chaplin

In Barnaul there are many interesting monuments dedicated to different historical events of the city and the country. But perhaps the most touching and unusual is not far from the station behind the Victory Memorial at the Mir cinema. It is impossible not to recognize the hilariously funny guy in a ridiculous bowler hat, because his image of a wordless comedian is known all over the world.

At the cinema on a small free area, sculptor Eduard Dobrovolsky depicted a scene from the famous film "Circus". Here, Charlie Chaplin is running away from an evil policeman with a baton, and a lady stands next to him and, imperiously raising his hand, everything is filmed on camera. This monument is the only one in Barnaul and in all Siberia monument to the famous comedian.

Recently, a nightclub and Chaplin Bar recently appeared near the cinema.
