Yuri Detochkin Auto Theft Museum
656049, Barnaul, Anatolia str., 130.
About the company:
A unique and unique museum of its kind, on a very peculiar theme.
In Russia, there are only two such museums dedicated to auto theft, one in the capital, the other in Siberia. The Siberian Museum in Barnaul was created on the basis of the city public rescue service. Initially, the exhibits were received from the police, because there are a lot of such physical evidence: fake numbers, fake IDs, the legendary holed door and more. Among the ingenious tools of hijackers, which are in this exposition, you can find completely unexpected items, for example, a vantuz. It turns out that it was used to open the locks in the car door. All exhibits can be safely considered and touched, you will even be told under what conditions they were used, but the secret of how to use specifically will not be revealed for anything.
In another part of the hall are traps motorists have devised for their abusers. Some laid fishing hooks on the seat, others put a trap on the gas pedal or hung locks on wheel discs. But most often the owners of the machines suffered from such ingenuity.
The Barnaul Museum has more than one and a half hundred exhibits and each has its own history. Any visitor can submit something suitable for the theme of the museum. The museum is ready to show how sometimes a seemingly successful car theft ends. Here they collected a rich video archive from various accidents, where rescuers rescue victims from a pile of twisted metal.
Visiting the museum does not require money – everything is free. You can buy souvenirs as a souvenir.
