ICUK “Shipunovskiy District Museum of Local Lore”

The district museum was established in 1971, the founders of the museum are G.I. Nikulshin, I.I. Fomchenkov. 1988. The museum moved into a new two-storey building specially built for the museum. Funds of the museum: paleontological collection, a complex of materials of economic and cultural activity of the peasantry at the turn of the XIX - XX centuries, materials on the history of the civil war, collectivization. The pride of the museum collection is the collection of state awards of the most famous people in the region and region Heroes of Socialist Labor M. E. Efremov, F. M. Grinko, I. N. Rakitin and others.

The exposition has 6 sections: “Animal and plant world of the district”, “Far past”, “Struggle for the power of the Soviets”. The first five-year plans, District during the Great Patriotic War, Post-war period – economic and social development, Participation of countrymen in military conflicts of the twentieth century (Afghanistan, Chechnya)
