This trip is a great opportunity to see both Russian and Mongolian Altai. You will visit the Ukok plateau - a plateau located in the very south of the Altai Mountains, at the junction of the borders of Russia, China, Mongolia and Kazakhstan. Given the outstanding natural characteristics of the plateau, in 1994 it received the status of a resting area, and in 1998 it was included in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Fund. The plateau is famous for the “Princess of Altai” – a unique and sensational find of Pazyryk culture. In the feelings of local residents, the plateau has an aura of sacredness. No wonder the philosopher M.Y. Shishkin proposed to perceive the Ukok plateau as the Altar of Eurasia. The second part of the route passes through the territory of the Mongolian Altai. You have a unique opportunity to get in touch with this amazing nomadic country, whose culture and life passed through the centuries almost in its original form. On this trip you will see a huge number of various archaeological sites left by the Scythians, Turks, Uighurs, Naimans, Mongols, Oirats, who once inhabited the territory of Altai and the Mongolian steppes.
Successful fishing - that's why you should go to Mongolia. Fishing enthusiasts will be amazed by the richness of fish resources - the number and species composition (sig, salmon, sturgeon).
In the rivers and lakes of Mongolia, most European fish and fish species of Siberia, Transbaikalia and the Far East live.
The rivers and lakes of Mongolia are widely inhabited by Asian trout, or flax, which is the oldest of the currently inhabited species of trout, Siberian harius and Darhad Beloribica (shig), mould, perch, pike.
The main trophy is of course Taimen, which attracts fishermen from all over the world. The main rule of fishing for taimen - caught-let go, this principle will preserve the population of the Red Book.
