The blossoming of maral (Rhododendron Ledebur) falls at the beginning of May, when many tourist centers of the Altai Mountains open their doors to lovers of summer holidays, so the holiday "Blossoming maral" has become a symbol of the opening of the summer tourist season in the Altai. You will find a large festive program, acquaintance with folk crafts, and you will also be able to get acquainted with the cave monastery of ancient people by visiting the complex "Tavdinsky Caves", which is located on the territory of "Turryuzovaya Katun". After the holiday, you can draw water from the spring of Arzhan-Suu, from which, according to legend, medical water flows.

After lunch, we go on an excursion to Chemal, 200 km (4 hours).

Chemal is a unique resort area of Altai. The optimal combination of beauty and accessibility made it the main tourist center of the republic. You will see the prison of the Znamensky convent, as well as visit the Orthodox Church of John the Theologian on the island of Patmos. Walking along the “goat path” over the seething Katunya below, you will have beautiful views of the Seminsky Range and the “Gate of Sartakpay”. On the approach to a small suspension bridge, you can hear the noise of the falling water of the old Chemal HPP.

Day 2: Departure for the excursion "Legends of the Chui tract". Moving (Estate Kit - Aktash) 350 km.

The journey along the Chui tract continues. You will see extraordinary corners of nature, the highest mountains covered with different shades of purple (blown maral flowers) and the most beautiful passes: Seminsky, Chiket-Aman, Kuraisky, Terektinsky and North Chuisky. As well as Yalomansk settlement, suspension bridge at the village of Inya, stone statues, Katunsky and Chui Boms and the most interesting - the Kalbak-Tash tract, where you can see ancient writings - petroglyphs. The route passes through the strongest energy places, where tourists draw the strength of the Altai.

On the right bank of the Chuya River (in the immediate vicinity of the road), there is a unique open-air museum "Kalbak-Tash Tract". The age of stone sculptures and drawings is several thousand years! Now petroglyphs Kalbak – Tash are protected by the state and excursions are held for tourists.

Day 3: Excursion to the "Valley of Mars" (9 hours). The car is 220 km. 3 km on foot.

Today will be no less intense. You will see the fabulous Geyser Lake, the Kurai Steppe, and also go on an excursion to the "Valley of Mars" with a visit to the Mongolian goods market in the village of Kosh-Agach.

Admiring the views of the North Chui Ridge, we turn from the Chui tract and after 10 km get into the valley of the Kyzyl-Chin River. Once on the site of the Kyzyl-Chin valley there was a warm Tethys sea, then glaciers and a cold lake. Geologists, archaeologists annually conduct research here and jokingly call Kyzyl-Chin Mars - for the land, painted in all possible shades of red and orange, blue-green and purple. Then we reach the end point of the border zone - Kosh-Agach. Visit the large market of Mongolian goods.

Day 4: We're going back today. Moving (Aktash - Karakol) 170 km.

Visit the Wuch-Enmek Natural Park. Tasting dishes of Altai national cuisine. Acquaintance with the secrets of folk musical instruments and masters of throat singing "Kai".

Karakol Uch-Enmek Nature Park was established on April 23, 2004. The territory of the park is rich in spiritual, cultural and historical monuments of different eras and sacred places for the Altaians. Here is the shrine of the Altai people - Mount Uch-Enmek.

Moving (Karakol - Gorno-Altaisk) 190 km. Accommodation in well-maintained houses on the "Estate Kit". Rest.

Day 5: Go on a tour "Secrets of the Golden Lake" (12 hours).
Moving (Gorno-Altaisk - Artybash (Teletsk lake) - Gorno-Altaisk) 360 km.

Teletskoye Lake is the pearl of the Altai Mountains. In terms of the supply of pure fresh water, it is second only to Baikal. Almost the entire right bank of Teletskoye Lake occupies the territory of the Altai State Nature Reserve, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are many legends about this mysterious lake. Locals call it "Altyn-Kel" - Golden Lake and revere it as a sacred lake.
For tourists, there is a huge selection of souvenir products, medicinal herbal collections and pine nuts. A 2-hour walk on a sightseeing boat with a visit to the beautiful waterfall "Korbu" and "Kishte" will help to feel the full power of Teletskoye Lake.
