Belgorod State Library is the largest book depository in the field, as well as a regional information center. The fund of the institution contains more than 2 million copies of various documents, the structure of the library consists of 18 departments. The regional library was formed on the basis of the former city library, which was opened by the Kursk governor in 1897.
Today, users have seven reading rooms with four hundred seats. The library also has a modern 160-seat conference room. 50,000 copies of various books are available for readers.
