Travel program: it is advisable to arrive in Belokurikha the night before to get equipment (the night is guaranteed!)
day. Breakfast. After collecting the whole team and selecting individual equipment, we get on a bus and go on a journey along the legendary road stretching from Biysk to Mongolia – the Chuisky Road, mentioned in the Chinese Vedas more than two and a half thousand years ago, in ancient times known as the “Great Silk Road”. Make stops at two mountain passes: Seminsky (Altai name - Dial-Menku (Eternal Mountain), and Chike-Taman, you will see places of worship of the Altai people and hear the legends of the Altai Mountains. The road passes through picturesque places: mountain ranges covered with cedar, then larch, booms, petroglyphs of different eras, wide steppes and valleys, ancient burials, mounds and burial grounds. Arrive at the parking lot near the Chuya River in front of the village of Yodro by evening. Camping. Ship assembly. First night at the campfire. Dinner. Overnight in tents.
days. Breakfast. Crew distribution. Instruction on the technique of water tourism. And on your way!!! On the river Chuya accompanied by a car. There are many obstacles to overcome on this day. Immediately after the start, you will be waiting for the twilight threshold - it will seem short, but spectacular. First obstacle and first impressions. The second obstacle is the petrel threshold. It annually hosts rafting competitions – Chuya Rally, one of the favorite places of rafters. After some time you will have to reconnaissance and storm one of the most difficult obstacles on the river. Chuya - Behemoth threshold (4-5 category), then almost immediately a series of rapids Classic, Slalom, Deceitful and other water obstacles. Finish in the parking lot behind the village of Yodro. Rest on the beach. Dinner by the fire. Overnight in tents.
days. Breakfast. Today is the final day of rafting on the Chuya River. The passage of two complex, but very interesting rapids – Turbine and Horizon, located almost behind each other. Especially impressive is the Horizon threshold: the Chuya River, sandwiched between rocky cliffs, rumbles and bubbles with a powerful stream, and turns steeply by 90 degrees. After passing the Shivera, Chuya pours her muddy water into the beautiful Katun. Our journey will continue along the beautiful Katun River. Stop for the night in the area of the river B. Yaloman. Rest on the beach. Bath. Dinner by the fire. Overnight in tents.
days. Breakfast. Start on the Katun River. This day will bring no less impressions than the previous one! Instruction on the technique of water tourism. And on your way!!! Many Shivers with large ramparts, barrels, colorful mountains, a thin thread of the Chui tract, that is what awaits you this day. But the main obstacles will be: the Ilgumen threshold (IV category) with large shafts, the Kadrin pipe, consisting of alternating individual rapids and a Shiver. Ahead of the Sabbath threshold (IV category), the name of the threshold in itself says a lot. This is the most powerful obstacle on Middle Katun. Landmarks - a small stream flows to the right, behind which the river turns to the left. There's 600-700m to the threshold. Further you can see a large pebble shoal on the left bank and large rocks on the right. Standing off the coast of a huge boulder 4-6 m high, the so-called "house", is the landmark of the beginning of the threshold. It consists of two stages, the passage of each of which requires mandatory reconnaissance. The adrenaline in your veins will be guaranteed. Good opportunity for photo and video recording of the passage. We reach the confluence of R. Ursula and R. Katun and get up for the night. Bath. Farewell dinner by the fire. Overnight in tents.
days. Breakfast. Moving to Belokurikha. Delivery of equipment. Sharing a photo-video report.
