The White Sea. Island of the German Kuzov
Description:
Karelia: White Sea. In the White Sea near the Kuzov can be found ringed seal, sea hare (the largest seal of Arctic waters) and beluga whale. Belukha is a marine mammal of the dolphin family, whose number in the White Sea ranges from 800 to 1000 individuals. These curious and sociable animals can be observed throughout the northern summer. The Kuzov Islands are a sacred place, according to scientists for the ancient civilization of Hyperborea, who placed their ritual complex here. The islands themselves are unique in that they are 1.5 billion years old – this is our Baltic shield, unlike, say, the neighboring Solovki, which are only 10 thousand years old, they were washed by a glacier.
