The city is located on the White River (tributary of Kama), 245 km from Ufa. The head of the administration of the city of Beloretsk and Beloretsk district - Nikolai Petrovich Maksimov. Previously, two closed villages, later included in the city-ZATO Mezhgorje, were called "Beloretsk-15" and "Beloretsk-16". The history of Beloretsk is closely connected with the eponymous plant, the time of construction of which is not entirely clear. The fact is that in the "Materials on the History of the Bashkir ASSR" (T. 4.Ch. 2.S. 183"187) in one document for 1759 it is about allowing I.B. Tverdyshev and I.S. Myasnikov to build an ironworks at the Kurak River (Kuryakly), a tributary of the Sim River. In the statement for 1761 it is noted: "Tirlyan Iron Factory". It is built again by decree of the State Berg College of 1759 in the Katai parish on the Tirlyan River on land purchased from the Bashkir people. And this plant is not yet in operation, then that has not yet been built. In the third document of July 18, 1762, the same breeders already asked for the transfer of the plant under construction from the Tirlian River (and not from the Kurak River) to the Agidel River. The reason was the fact that the "White river" can contain hammers quite a number. Berg-collegium allowed it to be moved and determined "that plant instead of Tirlyansky to be called Beloretsky." And, finally, the statement for 1776 contains data that the Beloretsk blast hammer plant was built in 1762, has 2 blast furnaces, 14 hammers. It turns out that the plant was built in 1762"1767. Beloretsk factory was the most powerful. In 1777, cast iron 110131 poods were smelted, in 1799 - 154212 poods. The plant had 376 mines. The factory was settled by purchased Russian peasants. 2-3 versts from the plant there was a factory village Lomovka, received its name from the occupation of the inhabitants: they were exclusively scrap cabbers, supplied to the plant raw materials. Factory peasants settled in the village of Arska, located 12 versts from their place of work. The villages and the factory were settled by Nizhny Novgorod, Penza and Ryazan peasants. In 1773, there were 1,724 people, including 840 men, according to the V revision of 1795 - 651 men and 737 women, in Lomovka - 2,152 people, including 1,032 men (41). In 1859, the Beloretsk plant had 5583 inhabitants, of which 2,681 were men. They lived in 1,018 houses. At the Beloretsk plant there was an infirmary, a school, a bazaar, a railway. In Lomovka, 1868 peasants lived in 305 yards. There is no information about D. Arska for Hush-X1 centuries. In 1926, the farm Arsky Stone numbered 4, the cordon Arsky - 9 farmyards. The residents are Russians. The village of Lomovka consisted of 879 yards and 4,350 inhabitants. In the 60s of the XX century it became part of Beloretsk. By 1917 there were 2 blast furnaces and 3 Marchnovo furnaces, diurnal and wire mills. The workers of the plant actively participated in the revolutionary movement in the Southern Urals. On June 18, 1816, Lieutenant Colonel Mistrov, commander of the 3rd Line Battalion of the Magnitnoy Fortress (now Magnitogorsk), sent a detachment of 100 private, 4 non-commissioned officers to Beloretsk to suppress the unrest of the factory peasants. In July 1918, the 270th Beloretsk Socialist Regiment was formed from the workers of the plant, which made a heroic raid as part of the Ural Partisan Army under the command of V. K. Blucher. In 1923, the Beloretsk plant received the status of a city. During the years of Soviet power, the plant was reconstructed and expanded, new types of products were mastered, mechanization and automation of production processes were carried out. In 1957, a metallurgical plant was founded on the basis of a metallurgical plant with the addition of a large Tirlyan sheet rolling plant, a Tukan mine and a steel wire and rope plant. Especially wide development of the enterprise of the plant received during the Great Patriotic War of 1941"45. The plant was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (1966).
