The route "Chuisky High-Mountain Journey" is so called because it passes above 2,000 m (above U.M.) along three ridges of the Central Altai: North Chui, Yuzhno Chui and Kurai. You will have a great opportunity to see the harsh and unique beauty of the wild alpine tundra. Visit the highest part of the Kyzyl-Chin gorge, famous for its "Martian landscapes", climb one of the largest glaciers of the Altai - Taldurinsky (ice thickness 175 m, and length 8.5 km), climb the Karaghem Pass (2.980 m), from where a beautiful panorama of snow-capped peaks of the North Chui and South Chui ridges opens, and in good weather the highest point of Siberia - Belukha. Due to the inaccessibility of these highlands are still considered poorly studied and unexplored. Thousands of years ago, unknown ancient hunters left burial mounds and cave paintings that scientists do not know about. Further, our journey continues along the Kurai Ridge, which also holds a lot of secrets, because even in Soviet times there were no tourist routes along it. You can see amazing mountain lakes of turquoise color and a picturesque gorge with waterfalls. The final part of the route passes at the foot of the North Chui Ridge, where the Kurai steppe will be replaced by a dull taiga with the most beautiful lakes of Dzhangyskol. The beauty of these places and the majesty of the peaks sparkling in the sun leave travelers with indelible impressions about this route.
