About the company:
The Amur Regional Actor and Doll Theatre is one of the oldest theaters for children in the Far East. It was formed in 1964. The founder and first chief director of the theater Semyon Iosifovich Bogorad, who came to Blagoveshchensk after graduating from the Higher Directorial Courses at the State Central Puppet Theater, is now mentioned in the history of the puppet theater along with the best puppeteers of the country.
The official opening of the Amur Regional Puppet Theater “Amurchonok” (as it was then called) took place with the performances “Kapryzka” and “Natural vitamin”. In the first years, the theater did not have its own premises, touring children's institutions and clubs of cities and villages of the region. Of those who caught the "travel" period, Oleg Goloshchapov, now the main artist, still works in the theater. At that time, a lecture hall and several rooms for administration, artists and props were rented in the building of the regional philharmonic.
Subsequently, the collective was granted the Small Hall of the Regional Philharmonic, and in 1991 – the entire building. The 60s and 70s are characterized by the fact that the traditional theater gradually became synthetic: dolls of different designs began to be used in performances. Along with the doll on the stage came the artist who sang, danced, owned pantomime. Hence the name of the theater - the theater of the Actor and the Doll.
The main place in the repertoire of the theater is a fairy tale. Simple and kind, intelligent and cheerful, she teaches children goodness and beauty. The Puppet Theatre is the first meeting of children with art, it is the first step in the development of children’s susceptibility to theatrical art. Especially for two-three-year-old children, the theater created performances “Fox-rat”, “Our Rules for Sasha and Masha”, “Two Merry Goose”.
