The reservoir stretches upstream of the Zeya River from the dam of the hydroelectric power station in the eponymous city of Zeya for 40 kilometers near the Tukuringra Range and is a small reservoir with multiple bays. And a little higher upstream, in the upper reaches, passes into a fairly wide reservoir.
