Seryshev Museum of Local Lore

About the company:
In the realities of dynamic modern life, with its technological progress, the processes of globalization and modernization, many traditional phenomena have changed their usual appearance. These transformations touched upon, and, it would seem, a completely conservative sphere – museum activity. The modern concept of the museum is not only the accumulation of historical material, research and exhibition of it, but also a broad public education work, the organization of leisure for citizens and the preservation of their persistent interest in history. A vivid example of such an actual museum that keeps pace with the times is the Seryshev Museum of Local Lore.
Initially, the museum, which began to function in 1987, worked exclusively on a voluntary basis, but two years later it changed its status and since 1989 became a branch of the Amur Regional Museum of Local History.
The first director and initiator of the creation of the museum was a participant of the Second World War Litvinenko I.F., his volunteer assistants and associates - Derkach N.P., Gurtovenko P.I. and Romanenko I.I. The first museum exhibits were a modest collection of several dozen items, which grew over the years into a solid collection with more than 12 thousand exhibits.
