Local Lore Museum of Bogdanovich

The Bogdanovichi Museum of Local Lore was created on a voluntary basis in 1977 on the basis of the Department of Culture of the Bogdanovichi City Executive Committee.

In 1995, the administration of the city of Bogdanovich adopted a Resolution - to register a structural unit of the Department of Culture - the city municipal museum of local lore.

The founders of the museum are:

• Shugaley Raisa Romanovna

The museum collects, stores, studies and exhibits monuments of history, nature and society, these exhibits form the main fund of the museum, they are witnesses of certain events in the life of society. The exposition of the museum consists of 15 sections, which include more than 12 thousand exhibits. In the hall of the museum there are objects and documents telling about the history of the city and the district, on the basis of which respect for the historical past of its people is brought up. The museum is interesting for children and adults. In addition to thematic excursions, the museum holds various events: meetings with interesting people, gatherings, remembrance evenings, exhibitions, educational programs related to the customs and rituals of the Russian people.
