Bolkhov Local History Museum

Bolkhov Museum of Local Lore was founded in 1918 by the artist I.K. Gavrilov. He had a historical and artistic background with funds of 12,000 units. The main collections are archaeological, ethnographic, painting (17-19 centuries). During the Great Patriotic War, the main collections were destroyed. Since 1946 the museum has been re-formed. The uniqueness of the museum is emphasized by the authenticity of the exhibits since the 16th century. Visitors are attracted by the historical hall (archaeology, weapons and weapons), "Ethnographic Hall" ( household items), a hall dedicated to the nature of the region, the back of painting (paintings of the 18th-19th centuries).
