BRYANSK KHATSUN – SISTER OF THE BELARUSIAN KHATYN
Description:
Bryansk Khatsun – Sister of the Belarusian Khatyn
With this military-patriotic route, I won three times in various All-Russian tourist competitions! (Diplomas attached).
I invite you to an excursion to the Hatsun museum complex in the Bryansk region – the first memorial in Russia in memory of the villages and villages destroyed by the Nazis. Here on the morning of October 25, 1941, three detachments of German punitive officers gathered everyone in the village. Some residents were executed with extreme cruelty. The rest were shot and the village burned. In the Khatsun tragedy killed 318 people, including 60 young children.
The Khatsun Memorial Complex, like the Belarusian Khatyn, became a symbol of the resilience and tragedy of the Russian people, who did not bow their heads before the fascist invaders.
In the solemn opening of the memorial "Hatsun" October 25, 2011 was attended by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Inscribed on the main Wall of Memory are the words "1941-1943". Let us bow our heads to the innocent victims of war. During the fascist occupation of the Bryansk region in 1941-1943, 75,274 civilians were killed, tortured, burned, killed in the bombing, 154,000 people were taken into German slavery, and 1,016 settlements were burned.
The fate of Khatsuni was repeated by 12 settlements of the Bryansk region, and over a thousand villages were destroyed in the Bryansk region during the years of occupation. The memorial "Hatsun" was created not only in memory of 318 residents of the village of Hatsun, but also about 1016 villages and villages of Bryansk region destroyed during the Great Patriotic War. In its scope and emotional impact, it is not inferior to the Khatyn memorial in Belarus.
On the square near the museum there are 28 granite steles with memorial plaques in memory of the victims of fascism in all 28 districts of the Bryansk region.
The museum exposition in Hatsuni is dedicated not only to the memorable events of October 25, 1941, but also to other atrocities of the Nazis in the occupied land. In documents, letters and photographs, he tells about the tragedy of Hatsuni. Instead of windows, stained-glass windows depicting the faces and hands of people enveloped in fire. The exposition contains photographs taken by the Germans of public executions and executions, execution lists, where more than half of these are women and young children.
On the museum building, on the red-orange facade, a white crane wedge is depicted as a symbol of our memory of those who died in Hatsuni, aimed at the sky. And remember the lines from R. Gamzatov:
It seems to me sometimes that soldiers,
From the bloody fields that did not come,
It wasn't in the ground once.
They turned into white cranes.
The main monument of the territory of the complex is a six-meter symbolic sculptural composition - a woman, a child huddled to her and an old man trying to close them with himself.
Here on the territory of the memorial next to the white crane wedge there is a monument in memory of the soldiers who died on the Bryansk land. Thousands of tourists from the President of the Russian Federation and Patriarch Kirill to ordinary schoolchildren from Bryansk and Russian regions bow their heads before the memory of those who died here.
And at the end of this trip, which is extraordinary in emotional intensity and tragedy, I always read the tragic poetic lines:
“We cannot list their noble names here.
So many of them under the eternal protection of granite.
But know that he who hears these stones,
No one is forgotten and nothing is forgotten.
